This page describes the current privacy practices for mercerlanepress.com, including direct digital-product purchases.
Information you provide
The website does not currently provide user accounts, public comments or a newsletter sign-up. If you contact Mercer Lane Press by email, the information you include will be received and used to respond to your enquiry.
Digital product purchases
When you choose to buy a digital product, checkout is handled by Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe processes the information required to complete and support the transaction, which can include contact information, billing or location information, payment information, transaction identifiers, tax information and fraud-prevention signals.
Stripe is the merchant of record for transactions completed through Managed Payments. Mercer Lane Press does not receive or store your full payment-card number on this website.
For products using Mercer Lane Press secure download delivery, the website receives a Stripe Checkout Session identifier after payment and verifies that identifier with Stripe before releasing the file. Temporary access tokens and download counts may be stored by the hosting platform for a limited period so download access can be restricted. Those access records do not store full card details.
Stripe processes information under its own privacy materials and Managed Payments terms.
Analytics and cookies
Mercer Lane Press uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website. The Google tag runs using Google consent mode. Analytics storage is set to denied unless you choose Accept analytics.
Before you consent, Google Analytics may receive limited cookieless consent and measurement signals. Analytics cookies are not intentionally set or read while analytics storage is denied. If you consent, Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, referral source, browser and device information, approximate geographic information, and interactions such as scrolling and outbound-link clicks. Google Analytics may then set cookies such as _ga and related identifiers.
The site does not intentionally send names, email addresses, manuscript content, payment-card details or the financial figures entered into free calculators to Google Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization are kept disabled in the site’s consent configuration.
The site may send non-personal interaction events such as use of a calculator, a click to begin checkout, confirmation of a completed purchase, or a product-file download so Mercer Lane Press can measure whether tools and product pages are useful.
With analytics consent, selected tool, guide and product pages also count entries, links to products and checkout-link clicks. Fixed AI-referral labels (such as ChatGPT or Perplexity) may also be attached to these events to distinguish referred visits from product visits. Full referring URLs and AI prompts are not included in these custom events. Approved campaign and AI-referral labels may be remembered in session storage for that browser tab; rejecting analytics clears those labels. These events contain fixed page and campaign labels, not calculator inputs, vehicle records or transaction details. A checkout-link click is not a confirmed purchase.
Your analytics preference is stored in your browser so the site can remember your choice. You can reopen the consent notice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer and change that choice.

Hosting and technical information
The site is delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process basic technical information—such as an IP address, request time, requested page and browser details—to deliver and secure the site. Secure digital delivery may also use Cloudflare storage and short-lived access records.
External links and third-party services
The site may link to or use other websites and services, including Amazon, Stripe, Google and Cloudflare. Those services control their own privacy practices for the information they process.
