These terms apply to mercerlanepress.com and to digital products offered by Mercer Lane Press through the site. They are intended to explain the practical terms of use and sale; they do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
About Mercer Lane Press
Mercer Lane Press publishes practical nonfiction and related digital tools. Questions about a product or the website can be sent to mercerlanepress@gmail.com.
Website information
Website articles, calculators, worked examples and product descriptions are provided for general informational and training purposes. They are not a substitute for project-specific professional, accounting, legal, tax, engineering, contractual or other specialist advice.
Where examples include prices, rates, percentages, quantities or project figures, those examples are illustrative unless the page expressly states otherwise.
Digital product purchases
Digital products are sold as one-time purchases unless a product page expressly states otherwise. The product page describes the main contents, compatibility and purchase price before checkout.
Transactions initiated through Mercer Lane Press use Stripe Managed Payments. For those transactions, Stripe is the merchant of record and handles the checkout, payment processing, applicable indirect tax calculation/remittance and transaction support in accordance with its own terms and policies.
Delivery
Digital products are supplied electronically. Buyers are responsible for entering an email address they can access at checkout and for retaining the delivery message or download access supplied after payment.
If a delivery email does not arrive, first check spam or junk folders, then contact Mercer Lane Press with the email address used at checkout and enough information to identify the order. Do not send full payment-card details by email.
Compatibility
Compatibility information on each product page forms part of the product description. Buyers should check that information before purchase. For the Mercer Lane Construction Estimating System PRO, the primary supported environment is modern Microsoft Excel desktop; Google Sheets and Excel Online are not claimed as supported environments.
Licence and permitted use
Digital products are licensed, not sold as unrestricted source material. The specific licence supplied inside a purchased product controls permitted copying, sharing, modification and internal use for that product.
Unless the supplied licence expressly allows it, purchasing a digital product does not transfer copyright, permit resale or redistribution of the files, or permit publication of the product as another person’s template, download or software package.
Refunds and consumer rights
Refunds and cancellation rights depend on applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction. Nothing in these terms removes statutory rights that apply to digital content. Stripe Managed Payments may handle refund requests and transaction support for purchases made through its checkout.

Product-specific responsibility
Mercer Lane Press is responsible for the accuracy of its product descriptions and for addressing product-specific defects or access questions. Buyers remain responsible for the project information, rates, quantities, assumptions, commercial decisions and professional judgments they enter into a tool.
No guarantee of commercial outcome
Estimating, pricing and business tools perform calculations based on supplied inputs and rules. They do not guarantee that a bid will win, that a project will be profitable, that costs will remain unchanged, or that an estimate is complete.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the text, original tools, layouts, downloadable files and other original material on this site are owned by or licensed to Mercer Lane Press. Normal linking to public website pages is welcome. Republishing substantial site content or redistributing purchased files requires permission unless permitted by law or the product licence.
Third-party services
The website may link to or use third-party services including Amazon, Stripe, analytics providers and digital-delivery services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
Changes
These terms may be revised when the website, products, checkout or delivery process changes. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
